Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Martelo (ranked 1401 p4p, 2040 weight class) and Mao Feng (ranked 119 p4p, 169 weight class). Feng is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by OKE. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mao Feng!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Feng both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Tiago Martelo has been cut.
Feng thuds a left hand into Martelo's body.
Feng lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Feng throws a series of punches but Martelo avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Martelo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Feng misses with a kick to the body.
Martelo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Feng keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Martelo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Martelo takes a jab right on the kisser.
Feng throws a big shot that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Feng fails with an attempt to clinch.
Martelo throwing a counter right hand but Feng manages to avoid it.
Feng throws a lazy uppercut
and Martelo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sloppy strikes from Martelo. Those never looked like landing.
Martelo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Feng.
Martelo seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Feng tries a head kick but it misses.
Feng uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Martelo has time to react.
Feng has closed the distance and engaged Martelo in a clinch.
I was talking to Martelo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Martelo tries to throw a body punch but Feng avoids it by throwing Martelo back against the cage.
Feng throws a head punch that misses.
Feng lands a hook that snaps the head of Martelo backwards.
Martelo misses with a hook to the ribs.
Martelo pulls guard effortlessly.
Martelo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Martelo is trying to control the position but Feng postures up.
Feng avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Martelo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Martelo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Feng wants to stand but Martelo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Martelo looking for a guillotine here but Feng defends easily.

Feng stands and steps away. Martelo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Feng moves in looking to clinch but Martelo pushes him off.
Feng throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Martelo.
Feng throws a combination. Martelo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Martelo slips a straight right by Feng.
It looked like Martelo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Feng.
Feng lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Martelo is rocked!
Feng fakes the body blow, causing Martelo to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Martelo goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mao Feng!
An out of breath Mao Feng thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
