Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berg comes into the arena with Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Berg! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berg drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Berg thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hernandez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Berg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hernandez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hernandez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Berg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Berg working some strikes from top position. Berg postures up.
Hernandez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Berg manages to get himself to full guard.
Berg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez trying to control the position from guard on top but Berg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hernandez tries to free his leg and advance position but Berg is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berg is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hernandez is controlling him. Berg is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hernandez is aware though and is defending well. Berg has his feet on Hernandez's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Berg with a hook. Berg takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hernandez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hernandez tries to clinch but Berg is having none of it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Berg, as that shot connected.
Berg punishes Hernandez's body with a nice straight punch. Berg cracks Hernandez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jab, jab by Berg - just one landing. Carlos Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hernandez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Berg paws at him with a jab and circles away. Berg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hernandez's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Berg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Berg content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berg in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berg gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hernandez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Berg counters with a one-two to the body. Hernandez looks gassed! and Berg counters with a straight right hand. Berg slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Berg lands with a nice combination. Hernandez backs away looking to recover. Hernandez closes the distance but Berg moves to the side and Berg counters with a left and a right that stings Hernandez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hernandez misses with a takedown attempt enabling Berg to counter with a crisp jab. Berg works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Berg scores with a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A right-left combo lands from Berg. Berg cracks Hernandez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Berg lands a nice looking body shot.

Berg darts in and out, connecting with a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Left hook, right uppercut from Berg. A nice combination there by Berg.

Berg lands with a hook. Hernandez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Berg lands a right hook to the body.
Hernandez has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Berg misses with a wild combination.
Berg cracks Hernandez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Berg throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Berg throws a combination. Hernandez tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Alexander Berg is winning the standup battle so far. Berg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hernandez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Berg scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hernandez in his tracks. Berg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez tries for a takedown but Berg circles away easily and Berg counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hernandez's guard now. Berg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Berg trying to control but Hernandez is working from the bottom. Berg working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Berg wants to stand but Hernandez is controlling his posture from full guard. Hernandez has momentary wrist control but Berg slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg looking to sit in guard and control but Hernandez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Berg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hernandez! Berg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Berg lands a heavy elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Berg cracks Hernandez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hernandez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Hernandez wants to hold on but Berg pushes him away. Berg with good strikes from the mount here! Hernandez is desperately trying to improve his position but Berg has a good base and remains in mount. Berg dominating with strikes here. Hernandez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Berg is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hernandez can do to turn this around?

Alexander Berg dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Berg throws a right hand that Hernandez ducks under and follows up with a left that Hernandez also avoids with ease. Berg is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Berg cracks Hernandez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Hernandez has managed to clinch.

Hernandez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Berg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Berg is pushing Hernandez's head away, looking to escape. Hernandez manages to hold on to the position though. Berg is not content to let Hernandez control the position. Hernandez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Berg is trying to control Hernandez's posture but Hernandez avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berg tries to bench press Hernandez off him but Hernandez keeps the position. Berg sneaks back into half guard. Berg tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hernandez has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Berg tries to lock up and control but Hernandez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hernandez manages to capitalize on a mistake by Berg to take his back! Berg tries to roll but Hernandez sticks to his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hernandez is looking to control Berg but Berg is wriggling around and keeping busy. Berg is trying to get back to his feet but Hernandez has full control of the position and if anything, Berg has just worked his way into a worse spot. You can see the frustration on Berg's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Hernandez is not going to allow Berg to sit and survive in this position. Berg rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

and Berg counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hernandez thinking. Hernandez closes the distance looking to clinch and Berg counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hernandez fails with the takedown and Berg counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Alexander Berg did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Danga de danga de dang - Berg scores with a four punch combination! Hernandez tries for a takedown but Berg circles away easily and Berg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Berg tests Hernandez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Excellent takedown into side control there by Berg. Berg decides to stand back up. Berg steps back and let's Hernandez get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Berg lands a two punch combo.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Berg to score with a decent uppercut. Berg misses with a two punch combination.
Berg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hernandez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Alexander Berg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Berg postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hernandez gets back to half guard. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Berg scores with a one two! Berg has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Berg cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Berg showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Berg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
