Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Mustaf (ranked 3029 p4p, 4332 weight class) and Armando Rush (ranked 321 p4p, 411 weight class). Armando Rush has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Mustaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Armando Rush!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Mustaf misses its intended target.
Rush let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Mustaf tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.
Rush raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Mustaf gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Rush decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mustaf's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mustaf. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mustaf tries to bench press Rush off him but Rush keeps the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mustaf gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rush content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Mustaf is looking for a sweep. Rush is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rush is trying to work for a kimura but Mustaf is defending well.

Mustaf definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Mustaf will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rush up against the cage.
Rush wants to get back to striking at distance but Mustaf won't allow it.

Mustaf tries to break free but Rush pushes him back against the cage.
Mustaf misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mustaf tries to break the clinch but Rush is controlling the position.
Rush is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rush jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mustaf walks away with a smile on his face. Rush gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mustaf stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mustaf wants it to stay on the feet.
Rush shoots for a takedown but Mustaf saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rush changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mustaf tries to avoid it but Rush manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mustaf to the ground. Mustaf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rush is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mustaf has his foot on Rush's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rush works his way back into a safe position though.
