Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wiremu Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saekenpai Fairtex!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williamson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fairtex.
Fairtex with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williamson to score with a decent uppercut.
Fairtex tries to close the distance and clinch but Williamson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fairtex avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williamson misses with a combination
and Fairtex counters with a big head kick but Williamson shrugs it off.
Fairtex throws a right and a left that Williamson avoids nicely.
Fairtex is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fairtex is looking to slow Williamson down with leg kicks.
The crowd cheers as Williamson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fairtex doesn't seem phased though.
Fairtex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Williamson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fairtex fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fairtex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williamson.
Fairtex throws a wild hook but Williamson just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Fairtex gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Williamson raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wiremu Williamson!
