Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mehmed Ahmedov (ranked 3962 p4p, 3979 weight class) and Adam Gorad (ranked 438 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Gorad!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorad doesn't manage to clinch there - Ahmedov circles away.
Ahmedov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gorad was covering up waiting for the punch and Ahmedov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ahmedov's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Gorad preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ahmedov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ahmedov passes Gorad's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gorad wants to improve his position but Ahmedov is controlling well.

Gorad tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ahmedov defends well and Gorad ends up having to push Ahmedov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Gorad looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Ahmedov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gorad has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
I really don't envy Gorad right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorad trying to get back to his feet but Ahmedov is in full control for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gorad trying to control the hands but Ahmedov breaks the grip.
Ahmedov has got one arm under Gorad's chin. This could be trouble... Gorad trying to control the other hand but Ahmedov gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Gorad has tapped out! The fight is over!
