This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Big Guy! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Robinho Junior! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Guy tries for a takedown but Junior circles away easily
and Junior counters with a takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Guy (0) vs (4) Junior Junior controls the position from side control. Guy is looking to reverse the position.
Junior is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Guy tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Guy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junior moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Guy regains half guard.  That's five minutes gone in the round. Guy prevents Junior from taking his back. Junior can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guy is looking to escape. Guy regains half guard. Guy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Junior is working away from the top position though.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Junior wants to pass the guard but Guy is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Junior in particular looking to stall.
Junior is looking for a kimura but Guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Junior to get the leverage. Guy is looking for a sweep. Junior is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Guy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Junior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Junior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Junior not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Junior trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Guy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Junior's guard. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guy wants to control but Junior is keeping busy.
