This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 5 losses; Kazuma Kiryu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 1 losses; Christine St. Georges! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kiryu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. St. Georges defends it nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kiryu. Kiryu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kiryu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as St. Georges sprawls well. St. Georges wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kiryu gets slowly back to his feet. Kiryu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. St. Georges controls Kiryu momentarily but Kiryu frees himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now St. Georges is on top in guard.
