Ignatov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ignatov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ignatov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ignatov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Askren just stands there and leans against the cage.
Askren is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ignatov can't fight it off and eventually Askren manages to take the fight to the floor. Ignatov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ignatov tries to lock up and control but Askren gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Askren is cranking Ignatov's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Ignatov! He's tightened the choke and Ignatov is tapping out!
