Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Iskender Aliev (ranked 1762 p4p, 1436 weight class) and Islam Magomedov (ranked 192 p4p, 167 weight class). Aliev comes into the arena with Bakili Balasiyam blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iskender Aliev!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Islam Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aliev's guard.
Aliev wants to sweep but no luck.
Magomedov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Magomedov postures up in Aliev's guard and throws a big left but Aliev blocks it.
Magomedov slips nicely into half guard.
Magomedov scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Aliev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Magomedov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Magomedov's back!
Aliev has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aliev is persistently looking for the submission but Magomedov is defending it well.
Aliev doesn't have the hooks in and Magomedov manages to turn into his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Magomedov is in close to Aliev's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Aliev is rocked!
Magomedov loads up on a big left hand. Aliev felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Magomedov looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Aliev can't hide his disappointment, as Magomedov celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Islam Magomedov!

A very excited looking Islam Magomedov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
