Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Persson wants to pass to mount but Tulegenov is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Persson uses his free foot to push down on Tulegenov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tulegenov.
Tulegenov can't escape the position.

Persson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Persson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Azamat Tulegenov's cut is getting worse.

Persson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tulegenov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Persson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
