The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dukat slaps away a takedown attempt from Kamenev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dukat tries to counter with a clinch but Kamenev shakes him off and moves away.
Dukat moves into range and clinches up with Kamenev. Kamenev is trying to pull guard but Dukat has him pressed against the ropes. Kamenev stops a takedown attempt from Dukat.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kamenev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. Dukat wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kamenev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.  That's ten minutes gone in the round. Kamenev wants to take a breather but Dukat is having none of it. Dukat is pressing down on Kamenev's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kamenev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dukat swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kamenev forces his way into half guard. Dukat has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kamenev is working away from the top position though.
 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Dukat might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kamenev haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dukat controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Kamenev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dukat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Dukat tries to get to full guard but Kamenev has control of the leg. Dukat works his way to full guard. Good work. Kamenev controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kamenev postures up.
Kamenev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kamenev stopping the sweep attempt from Dukat.
