Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chandler Norton (ranked 3304 p4p, 4997 weight class) and Jerome Jurab (ranked 330 p4p, 415 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chandler Norton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerome Jurab!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton misses with a hook.
Norton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Norton dodges the punch combination from Jurab.
Norton takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jurab looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jurab ducks under a wild hook from Norton.
Norton misses with a lunging right hand
and Jurab counters with a single leg into guard. Norton didn't expect that.
Norton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jurab is aware though and is defending well.
Jurab is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Norton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jurab really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jurab content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Norton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Jurab tries to free his leg and advance position but Norton is retaining full guard.
Jurab is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norton tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jurab slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jurab connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Norton some visible discomfort.

Norton wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Jurab is trying to get an arm triangle but Norton is defending well.
Norton tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Norton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jurab thows a huge punch but Norton dodges it nicely.
Jurab stops Norton from getting back to his feet.

Norton is trying to stand up here but Jurab is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Norton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jurab is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jurab lands a nice short elbow.
Jurab winds up and cracks Norton with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jurab wants to control but Norton is keeping him busy.
Jurab working over Norton with some ground and pound. Norton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Norton tries to roll over but Jurab keeps him under control.
Jurab looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Norton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oh Norton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jurab is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jurab is pressing down on Norton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Norton is holding on for now.
Jurab stops Norton from getting back to his feet.
Jurab takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jurab seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jurab lands a big elbow - Norton is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Jurab!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerome Jurab!
