Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reece Hartman (ranked 3103 p4p, 3169 weight class) and Gordon Rough (ranked 331 p4p, 341 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reece Hartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Rough!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Hartman seems content to control.
Rough controlling the position for now.
Hartman is controlling the pace.
Hartman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rough does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hartman throws a looping overhand right but Rough ducks down to avoid it.
Rough looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hartman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rough is trying to maintain the position but Hartman is very close to passing his half guard.
Hartman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rough tries to roll over but Hartman keeps him under control.

Hartman shoots in looking for a takedown but Rough manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hartman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nice uppercut lands for Hartman. That snapped Rough's head back.

That was a close round but I would say that Reece Hartman will probably get the nod.

Hartman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rough for as long as he can get away with.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Reece Hartman.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hartman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
