Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Osmany Pizziconi (ranked 1491 p4p, 2745 weight class) and Kiandy Rakotoarisoa (ranked 183 p4p, 317 weight class). Osmany Pizziconi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Osmany Pizziconi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kiandy Rakotoarisoa!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pizziconi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pizziconi wants the takedown. Rakotoarisoa is fighting it off but Pizziconi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rakotoarisoa's guard against the cage.
Rakotoarisoa is wriggling around but Pizziconi manages to pass to half guard.
Rakotoarisoa missing with punches from the bottom.
Rakotoarisoa trying to hold on to Pizziconi's head to control him but Pizziconi postures up.
Rakotoarisoa is looking for a sweep. Pizziconi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pizziconi slows the pace down in half guard.
Pizziconi trying to control the action but Rakotoarisoa is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rakotoarisoa throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Pizziconi sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Pizziconi is looking to advance position but Rakotoarisoa won't allow it.

Rakotoarisoa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pizziconi is working away from the top position though.
Pizziconi decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rakotoarisoa. Pizziconi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pizziconi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rakotoarisoa sprawls well. Rakotoarisoa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pizziconi gets slowly back to his feet.

Pizziconi pushes Rakotoarisoa up against the cage in a clinch.
Rakotoarisoa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rakotoarisoa connects with a body shot.
Rakotoarisoa leaves Pizziconi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rakotoarisoa misses the shot to the body.
Rakotoarisoa looks to land a left hand but Pizziconi moved out of range nicely.
Rakotoarisoa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pizziconi clobbers Rakotoarisoa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
No luck for Pizziconi with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Osmany Pizziconi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pizziconi gets a takedown into half guard.

Rakotoarisoa is not content to let Pizziconi control the position.
Pizziconi lands strikes from half guard.
Pizziconi thows a huge punch but Rakotoarisoa dodges it nicely.
Rakotoarisoa misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pizziconi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pizziconi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pizziconi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rakotoarisoa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pizziconi.
Rakotoarisoa is trying to maintain the position but Pizziconi is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pizziconi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rakotoarisoa trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Pizziconi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rakotoarisoa's face.
Pizziconi breaks from Rakotoarisoa's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Pizziconi lands a nice shot to the head.
It looks like Kiandy Rakotoarisoa has been cut.

Rakotoarisoa is rocked!
Pizziconi is landing with some decent strikes but Rakotoarisoa is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rakotoarisoa is still in real trouble! Can Pizziconi finish him?
Pizziconi lands a big shot to the head and Rakotoarisoa winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

In his post fight interview, Osmany Pizziconi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
