Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Von Meyer (ranked 431 p4p, 1131 weight class) and Silas Hodge (ranked 55 p4p, 150 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Max Von Meyer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Max Von Meyer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Meyer lands a really nice looking cross but Hodge seems unphased.
Von Meyer lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd cheers as Hodge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Von Meyer doesn't seem phased though.
A decent looking cross lands there for Von Meyer.
A shot to the liver by Von Meyer. Beautiful body shot.
Von Meyer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hodge misses with a hook.
Von Meyer lands a jab to the nose.
Von Meyer closes the distance and pushes Hodge back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hodge throws a punch but it's blocked by Von Meyer.
Von Meyer blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hodge is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hodge has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Von Meyer digs a right hand into Hodge's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hodge's gas tank.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Von Meyer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

and Von Meyer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hodge thinking.

Von Meyer lands a nice shot that snaps Hodge's head back.
Hodge swings for the body but Von Meyer moves out of range.
Von Meyer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hodge on the side of the head.
Hodge works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Von Meyer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hodge throws a lazy uppercut
and Hodge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hodge throws a hook but Von Meyer avoids it easily.
A quick step to the side and Von Meyer tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Von Meyer lands with a nice body punch.
Hodge misses with a lunging right hand
and Von Meyer counters with a nice uppercut.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hodge throws a sloppy body shot
and Von Meyer counters with an inside leg kick.
Hodge throws a lazy uppercut
and Von Meyer counters with a stiff right hand.
Von Meyer clinches up with Hodge and pushes him back against the cage.
Von Meyer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Von Meyer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hodge connects with a single shot there.
Hodge throws a sloppy body shot
and Von Meyer counters with a stiff right hand.
Hodge misses with a hook
and Von Meyer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hodge is rocked!
A punch combination from Von Meyer misses.
Von Meyer moves out of range of the strikes.
Hodge rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Von Meyer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Max Von Meyer dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Hodge misses the shot to the body.
Hodge ducks under a wild hook from Von Meyer.
Von Meyer lands a left and a right that send Hodge crashing to the mat, dazed. Von Meyer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hodge is still on wobbly legs! Can Von Meyer finish him?
Hodge swings widly with a right hand
and Von Meyer rattles Hodge with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Hodge tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Von Meyer dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Hodge stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Max Von Meyer!

A very excited looking Max Von Meyer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
