Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carl Diol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John McManus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Diol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John McManus! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from McManus as Diol shoots in. Diol shoots for a takedown but McManus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Diol tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McManus swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Diol. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diol fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McManus sprawls well initially but Diol persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McManus pushes Diol off looking to stand but Diol dives back in and keeps control.
Diol not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Diol blocks the strikes from McManus.
Diol is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McManus defends it well. Diol is breathing heavily. Diol is keen to just control but McManus is a slippery customer. McManus keeping control of the position. McManus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diol's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diol's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. McManus working for a choke but Diol is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McManus has Diol flattened out and is raining down punches. McManus is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Diol with him. Diol is trying to defend but McManus has an arm under the chin now! Diol grimaces and is forced to tap out!
