Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Walters (ranked 25545 p4p, 4319 weight class) and Ismayil Gottenyer (ranked 517 p4p, 420 weight class). Walters's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shepard Of Fire. Ethan Walters has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Walters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ismayil Gottenyer! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gottenyer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walters is trying to defend but Gottenyer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gottenyer scoring with strikes to the body and head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walters is trying to stand.
Gottenyer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nice strikes from Gottenyer there. Gottenyer is taking a breather. Walters says something to him but it's hard to make out. Gottenyer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Walters taking some punishment here, with Gottenyer in his half guard. Gottenyer slows the pace down in half guard. Gottenyer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Walters tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gottenyer wants to free his trapped foot but Walters is holding on for dear life with his legs. Walters is trying to stand.

Walters is looking to escape. Gottenyer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. It looks like Gottenyer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Walters is trying to control but can't.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walters scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gottenyer pushes Walters off and gets back to his feet.
Gottenyer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gottenyer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gottenyer grinds an elbow into Walters's temple. Gottenyer staying calm. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ismayil Gottenyer dominated that round. That's time! Walters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Walters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gottenyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gottenyer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gottenyer scoring with some ground and pound.

Ismayil Gottenyer has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gottenyer trying to control the position from guard on top but Walters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gottenyer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gottenyer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walters's head. Gottenyer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gottenyer preventing the sweep. Gottenyer lands a couple of decent looking shots. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walters holds on and takes a little breather. Gottenyer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walters's head. Gottenyer cracks Walters with a solid left hand. Walters is trying to control the position from the bottom.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gottenyer forces his way into half guard. Gottenyer is controlling the pace.

Gottenyer is looking to take a break and control but Walters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gottenyer scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gottenyer drops an elbow to the side of Walters's head. Walters won't allow Gottenyer to pass to mount. Gottenyer lands with a punch from half guard. Gottenyer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Gottenyer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
 Walters is rocked!
Gottenyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gottenyer. Oh Walters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gottenyer connects with a nice short shot to Walters's temple. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ismayil Gottenyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Gottenyer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Walters seems to have got his legs back now. Walters avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gottenyer. Walters flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gottenyer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Gottenyer slips a nice elbow through Walters's hands, connecting with Walters's forehead. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gottenyer content to control rather than advance.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Walters is looking to control Gottenyer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Walters avoid being mounted? Gottenyer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gottenyer drops an elbow to the side of Walters's head. Gottenyer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Gottenyer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Walters has hold of Gottenyer's hands but Gottenyer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

 It looks like Ethan Walters has been cut. Gottenyer scores with a big shot! Walters's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Walters! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
