Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Myson Tike (ranked 3878 p4p, 4939 weight class) and Adriano Batoni (ranked 0 p4p, 458 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Myson Tike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adriano Batoni!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batoni shoots in but Tike avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Batoni pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Batoni shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tike but Tike pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Batoni fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tike avoids it really well and circles away.
Myson Tike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adriano Batoni.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batoni dodges the punch combination from Tike.
Batoni shoots in but no luck this time.
Batoni tries to clinch up but Tike circles away and keeps his distance.

Batoni ducks right into an uppercut from Tike.

Tike takes the fight into the clinch.
Batoni tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tike gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Batoni regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tike throwing strikes from guard but Batoni blocks nicely.
Tike trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tike has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Batoni is trying to control the position but Tike postures up.
Tike wants to control from the top but Batoni keeps moving.
Tike sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Batoni has momentary wrist control but Tike slips an elbow through the middle.

Tike tries to free his leg and advance position but Batoni is retaining full guard.

Tike tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Tike wants to control but Batoni is keeping him busy.
Batoni takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tike is chipping away with strikes.
A lull in the action here as Tike stalls from top position.
Batoni is not content to let Tike control the position.
You can see the frustration on Batoni's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tike throwing strikes but Batoni manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Myson Tike dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Batoni shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tike pinned against the cage. Tike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tike appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Batoni rushes Tike and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tike wants a takedown but no success here.
Tike lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Batoni backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tike is pressed up against the cage. Batoni has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tike down to the mat. Tike avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tike fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Batoni wants to clinch

and Tike counters with a takedown into side control.

Batoni is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tike has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tike trying to control the position but Batoni is working away.
Tike lands a few punches from side control.
Myson Tike overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tike cracks Batoni with a big elbow.
Batoni throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Tike grinds an elbow into Batoni's temple.
Batoni avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tike.
Tike tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Tike working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Batoni regains half guard there - taking advantage of Tike's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Tike perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Tike wants to pass the guard but Batoni is defending well.
Batoni controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Tike working over Batoni with some ground and pound. Batoni looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Batoni wants to get back to full guard but Tike has mounted him!
Tike lands with some strikes.
Batoni is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Tike trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Batoni is looking to improve his position but Tike isn't that keen on the idea.
Tike landing strikes, looking to finish!
Tike wants to control the pace but Batoni is squirming around nicely.

Tike cracks Batoni with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
A nice elbow there by Tike.

Tike is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Batoni is surviving well by controlling Tike's body position as best he can.
Tike lands a heavy elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tike lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Batoni hang on?
Tike tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tike lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Batoni is rocked!
Tike sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tike is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Batoni can do to turn this around?
Batoni is in a horrible position here. Tike smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Batoni is still in real trouble! Can Tike finish him?
Batoni is breathing heavily.
Tike looking to control but Batoni is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Batoni seems to have recovered his senses.
The referee warns Batoni that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Tike checks a low kick from Batoni.
Myson Tike is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Adriano Batoni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tike throws a low kick but Batoni avoids it.
Batoni steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Tike fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Batoni sprawls well initially but Tike persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tike performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Tike has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Tike.
Batoni preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Tike looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tike seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Batoni for as long as he can get away with.
Tike continues to hold on tight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tike throws a sloppy head kick and Batoni moves out of range easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tike lands a jab.
Tike missing with a left hand there. Batoni was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Batoni tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tike swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Batoni gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tike throws a nice looking combination but Batoni bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tike blocks a head kick by Batoni.

Tike changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Batoni looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tike controlling the position from side mount.
Batoni is trying to improve his position.
Batoni wants to control but Tike postures up.
The referee asks Tike politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tike prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tike working away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tike throws a body punch but Batoni moves out of range.
Batoni shapes to counter with a head kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tike cracks Batoni with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Batoni fails with an attempt to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Myson Tike showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tike has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
