Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zip Khan (ranked 3980 p4p, 4824 weight class) and Daddy Dana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zip Khan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zip Khan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zip Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daddy Dana! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dana throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dana connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
 It looks like Zip Khan has been cut. Dana throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range. No joy there for Dana, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Khan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dana was covering up waiting for the punch and Khan finishes the takedown easily into guard. Khan is standing up over Dana. Dana looks to escape but Khan dives into side control.
Khan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Khan prevents Dana from escaping the position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dana is looking to regain half guard here but Khan keeps moving and retains side control. Dana dodges the ground and pound from Khan.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dana is not content to let Khan control the position. Khan is really struggling to control Dana but he's trying to hold on to the position. Dana tries to get back to half guard but can't. Khan wants to control but Dana is keeping him busy. Khan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Dana keeps Khan under control for a moment. Dana is being controlled here. Khan working away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dana is not content to let Khan control the position.

Khan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dana sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Khan is looking to take a break and control but Dana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Dana really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dana is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Dana misses with a series of wild punches.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dana as he avoids it easily. Dana throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.
Khan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khan is taking a breather. Dana says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dana can do anything to dispel that myth. Dana is trying is best to control the position here. Dana is trying to maintain the position but Khan is very close to passing his half guard. Dana might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Khan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zip Khan will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Zip Khan's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dana scores with a jab. Dana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dana works Khan's body with a nice hook. Dana smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Dana lands a jab.
 Khan is rocked! Dana catches Khan with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Khan forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
