And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Lyric Mann!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Grumblegut changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mann looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Grumblegut (4) vs (0) Mann
Grumblegut is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mann knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Mann tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mann really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grumblegut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Grumblegut swings around for an armbar but Mann sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grumblegut's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Grumblegut (4) vs (2) Mann

Grumblegut has his foot on Mann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mann works his way back into a safe position though.
Mann slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mann has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Grumblegut to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mann is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Grumblegut pulls down on the head and he's put Mann to sleep! This one is all over!

Gromli Grumblegut really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bloodbath MMA Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. |
