And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 2 losses; Enrique Montoya! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
St. Georges shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Montoya's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: St. Georges (2) vs (0) Montoya St. Georges controls from within his opponent's guard. Montoya keeping full guard, as St. Georges tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St. Georges is working hard here to advance position. Montoya looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. St. Georges being controlled here momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St. Georges sitting in guard here, content to control.

St. Georges looking to control the position here, rather than advance. St. Georges sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Montoya's guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Montoya wants to improve his position but St. Georges is controlling well.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. St. Georges controlling the pace. Montoya keeps control of the position for the meantime. Montoya tries to get to full guard but St. Georges has control of the leg. St. Georges wants to pass to mount but Montoya is defending the position.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. St. Georges stalling. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. St. Georges is thwarting Montoya's attempts to control the position. St. Georges frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Montoya sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

St. Georges's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Montoya slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. St. Georges keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. St. Georges tries to pass the half guard into mount. Montoya knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. St. Georges is controlling the pace.
 That's ten minutes gone in the round. St. Georges seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Montoya for as long as he can get away with. St. Georges is looking to advance position but Montoya won't allow it.
 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. St. Georges looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. St. Georges continues to stall.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. St. Georges working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Montoya's thigh. Montoya counters though and makes it back to full guard. St. Georges not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. St. Georges trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. St. Georges tries to free his leg and advance position but Montoya is retaining full guard. Montoya is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. St. Georges slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. St. Georges trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. St. Georges engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. St. Georges trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. St. Georges sitting in guard, not really doing much. St. Georges looking to pass the guard. St. Georges showing good wrestling skills to control the position. More hug and hope from St. Georges. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
