Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Mason (ranked 2615 p4p, 3198 weight class) and Tatsura Onigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kenny Mason has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kenny Mason seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsura Onigawa!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason throws a series of punches but Onigawa moves out of range.
Mason scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Mason fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Onigawa, pushing him back against the cage.
Onigawa tries to break free but Mason pushes him back against the cage.
Onigawa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mason pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mason moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mason lands a body punch in the clinch.
Onigawa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mason gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mason lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mason controlling the pace.
Mason decides to stand and escape the position.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mason successfully pulls guard.
Onigawa passes into half guard.
Onigawa trying to pass the guard but Mason defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Onigawa works his way into full mount!
Mason manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Onigawa is looking for a kimura but Mason is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Onigawa to get the leverage.
Onigawa is pressing down on Mason's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mason is holding on for now.
Onigawa is still trying to improve position.
Mason is looking for a sweep. Onigawa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mason wants to get back to full guard.

Onigawa wants to free his trapped foot but Mason is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Onigawa has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Onigawa seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mason is holding on tight.
Mason is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Onigawa fails to move to back control.
Onigawa avoids the attempt from Mason to control.
Mason is controlling an arm, preventing Onigawa from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Mason tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Onigawa quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Onigawa but it's paid off an Mason is forced to tap! Nice work by Onigawa.
