Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nasir Barakat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 52 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Gracie! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barakat gets a double leg takedown into Gracie's guard. Gracie trying to control the position here. Barakat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barakat advances to half guard.
Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Barakat is working for a kimura here but Gracie manages to reverse the position and he's now in Barakat's guard.
Barakat looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Barakat looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gracie has picked Barakat up and slammed him! Barakat can't keep hold of the triangle and Gracie manages to pass to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie trying to control the position but Barakat is working away. Barakat is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Barakat is working hard here to advance position. Gracie trying to control the action but Barakat is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barakat has escaped the position, nice work there. Barakat gets back to half guard. Barakat tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Barakat is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gracie has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Barakat to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gracie is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Barakat pulls down on the head and he's put Gracie to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nasir Barakat! A relieved looking Nasir Barakat thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
