Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umar Khattab (ranked 2493 p4p, 3625 weight class) and Wayne Dotson (ranked 273 p4p, 358 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dotson's choice of entrance music: White Girl - Shy Glizzy. Wayne Dotson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Umar Khattab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Dotson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dotson tries to bum rush Khattab with a series of wild strikes but Khattab uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dotson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Khattab back to the cage. Dotson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Khattab ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dotson moves away. Dotson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Khattab.
Khattab rushes Dotson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Khattab tries for a takedown but Dotson manages to get underhooks.
Khattab definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dotson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Dotson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Dotson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Khattab off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. This has been an exciting period of action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Dotson.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dotson misses with a low kick. Dotson tries to close the distance and clinch but Khattab swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dotson throws a right and a left that Khattab avoids nicely. Dotson checks a leg kick. A combination from Dotson does no damage. Dotson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
 It looks like Umar Khattab has been cut. Khattab avoids a punch combination nicely.

A jab from Dotson does it's job there. Khattab misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dotson.
Khattab throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Khattab shoots in and bounces Dotson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Our spies down at at Roosters Coop inform us that Dotson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khattab scoring with some ground and pound. Khattab throwing strikes from guard but Dotson blocks nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Khattab is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dotson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Khattab postures up in Dotson's guard and throws a big left but Dotson blocks it. Khattab lands a couple of decent looking shots. Khattab stops Dotson from standing up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Khattab throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Dotson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Khattab ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Khattab no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Khattab manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dotson manages to get himself to full guard.
Khattab working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dotson's head. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Dotson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khattab is controlling him. Khattab has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Khattab distracts Dotson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khattab wants to control from the top but Dotson keeps moving. Khattab working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dotson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Wayne Dotson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Umar Khattab's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Khattab throws a body shot but no joy. Dotson connects with a body shot. Khattab throws a right hand that Dotson ducks under and follows up with a left that Dotson also avoids with ease. Dotson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A counter left hand to the body from Khattab misses its target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khattab takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Khattab avoids a punch combination nicely.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Khattab throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Dotson throws a right and a left that Khattab avoids nicely.

Dotson tries to circle away but Khattab has him pinned against the cage. Khattab stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Khattab lands a body shot. Khattab creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dotson's defenses.
 It looks like Wayne Dotson has been cut. A frustrated look appears on Dotson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dotson has had enough of the clinch but Khattab keeps him there for the moment.
Khattab turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Khattab manages to end up in side control. Khattab landing strikes. Khattab wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dotson keeps working.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dotson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Khattab prevents Dotson from escaping the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dotson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Dotson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khattab lands a decent elbow from side control.
 Dotson is rocked! Dotson is not content to let Khattab control the position. Dotson is still in real trouble! Can Khattab finish him? Dotson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Khattab cracks Dotson with a big right hand but Dotson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Khattab lands a big left to the face of Dotson, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Khattab and another - Dotson is out! Khattab stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Umar Khattab!
