The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brenton's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laurent passes Brenton's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Laurent is working for a kimura here but Brenton manages to reverse the position and he's now in Laurent's guard.
Brenton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laurent on the ground.

Laurent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brenton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Laurent quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Brenton has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Laurent celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
