Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23425 p4p, 23288 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 55 - 74 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 59 - 73 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Salvacion darts in looking for a takedown but Amiga gets double underhooks and turns Salvacion into the cage. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Amiga on that attempt. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga controlling the position for now. Amiga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Salvacion is controlling the pace.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Amiga is trying to get back to full guard. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion is keeping busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion drives through with a takedown into Amiga's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Salvacion controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Salvacion accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Amiga seems keen to control Salvacion's posture. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Salvacion manages to pass to side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Salvacion looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Amiga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely. Salvacion counters with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Amiga on that attempt. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga throws the kick towards the body but Salvacion avoids it. Despite the aggression on Salvacion's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Amiga doesn't succeed with the takedown and Salvacion counters with a solid body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Amiga is trying to defend but Salvacion finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salvacion in particular looking to stall. Amiga blocking the ground and pound attempt from Salvacion. Amiga is trying to get back to full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga works his way to full guard. Good work. Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Amiga is trying to keep Salvacion in close.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Amiga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
 Rico Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvacion flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Salvacion preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Amiga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Amiga looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Salvacion! Amiga trying to control the position but Salvacion is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion has one of Amiga's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga trying to control the position but Salvacion is working away. Salvacion is looking for a sweep. Amiga throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Amiga is looking to take a break and control but Salvacion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salvacion wants to control but Amiga postures up.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Salvacion darts in looking for a takedown but Amiga gets double underhooks and turns Salvacion into the cage. It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there. Salvacion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Amiga pinned against the cage. Amiga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Salvacion stopping the sweep attempt from Amiga.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage. Amiga wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Salvacion is now in half guard. Gakus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rico Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion is keeping busy and won't allow it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rico Salvacion. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
