Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Petrov (ranked 2411 p4p, 24712 weight class) and Jonathan Mcpherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonathan Mcpherson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sasha Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonathan Mcpherson! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcpherson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Petrov. Mcpherson wants to counter with a clinch but Petrov pushes him away.
Mcpherson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petrov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mcpherson wants to pass to mount but Petrov is defending the position. Petrov tries to roll over but Mcpherson keeps him under control. Mcpherson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Ground and pound from Mcpherson. Petrov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Petrov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Petrov is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov is staying active underneath Mcpherson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mcpherson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mcpherson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Petrov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcpherson tries to avoid it but Petrov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcpherson to the ground. Mcpherson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sasha Petrov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Petrov feints and as Mcpherson raises his hands in defense, Petrov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mcpherson is trying to control the position but Petrov postures up. Petrov is looking to work some ground and pound but Mcpherson has wrist control. Mcpherson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Petrov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Petrov postures up in Mcpherson's guard and throws a big left but Mcpherson blocks it. Petrov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petrov lands a couple of elbows. Mcpherson trying to keep a closed guard but Petrov is proving a slippery customer.
Petrov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Petrov lands a couple of digs. Petrov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Petrov works over Mcpherson with some ground and pound from guard. Petrov stands up over Mcpherson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mcpherson wants to sweep here but Petrov controlling him for the moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mcpherson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Petrov passes easily into side control. Nice work. Check out the look on Petrov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mcpherson is trying to get back to half guard. Petrov scores with a couple of short elbows. Petrov avoids the strikes from the bottom by Mcpherson. Petrov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Mcpherson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Petrov lands some shots froms side control. Mcpherson struggling a bit here. Petrov lands a few punches from side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov working the ground and pound.
 Mcpherson is rocked! Petrov in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Mcpherson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Petrov turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
