Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eli Vieira (ranked 2489 p4p, 4458 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 299 p4p, 470 weight class). Kovacs has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs tries a head kick but it misses.
Vieira is looking to counter the offense by Kovacs and move into the clinch.
Kovacs pushes Vieira up against the cage in a clinch.
Kovacs is looking to break free of the clinch but Vieira has double underhooks.
Vieira ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vieira no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Vieira trying to keep a closed guard but Kovacs is proving a slippery customer.
Kovacs tries to stand but Vieira is controlling from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vieira is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kovacs rolls with it to try and escape but Vieira cranks on the arm and Kovacs is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Eli Vieira opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
In defeat, Andor Kovacs stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tnough lost , i want bum phillps next'.
