Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Ramirez (ranked 4321 p4p, 4331 weight class) and Alexander Schafer (ranked 418 p4p, 420 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeffrey Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Schafer! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schafer moves out of range as Ramirez throws a body kick.
Ramirez throws out a powerful jab. Schafer misses with a takedown attempt - Ramirez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Schafer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramirez to the mat! Ramirez manages to get full guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Ramirez manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Ramirez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Schafer throws a right hand that Ramirez ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramirez also avoids with ease. Ramirez throws a right and a left that Schafer avoids nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schafer on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Schafer misses with a two punch combination.
Schafer feints a jab promting Ramirez to slip. Schafer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ramirez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Ramirez with a hook. Schafer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ramirez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ramirez. Ramirez throws a hook to the side of Schafer's head but Schafer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Schafer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramirez defends it nicely. Ramirez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schafer. Ramirez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ramirez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Schafer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ramirez. Schafer tries to counter by closing the distance. Schafer tries to move into range but Ramirez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Schafer gets a takedown into half guard.
Schafer seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ramirez is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Alexander Schafer!
