Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darien Tapia (ranked 3879 p4p, 4022 weight class) and Jameston Steele (ranked 375 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darien Tapia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jameston Steele! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tapia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tapia waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steele. Tapia misses with a lunging right hand
and Tapia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Darien Tapia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tapia throws a jab when Steele was well out of range.
Tapia gets caught napping as Steele dives in and scores a takedown. Tapia manages to retain guard. Steele postures up and lands a big shot to Tapia's brow.
Tapia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tapia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Steele content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Steele lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Steele makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Steele is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Steele looking to pass the guard. Steele postures up and lands a big shot to Tapia's brow.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Steele with a nice head shot there.
Tapia looking for a guillotine here but Steele defends easily.
Tapia is looking to cinch up a triangle. Steele throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tapia's body to avoid the submission. Tapia has instead reached around Steele's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tapia arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
