Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kai Asakura (ranked 3142 p4p, 5298 weight class) and Tai Gar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tai Gar!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gar.
Asakura closes the distance and pushes Gar back into the cage.
Asakura is trying to force a seperation but Gar has the dominant position.
Gar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Asakura blocks it with crossed arms.
Gar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gar.
Asakura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asakura is trying to break the clinch but Gar is controlling him.
Asakura wants to break free but Gar has control.

Gar jumps guard but Asakura turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Gar has Asakura pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Asakura manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Asakura after a bit of a struggle.

Asakura lands with a kick to the temple. Gar shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Asakura throws a body punch but Gar moves out of range.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gar has his takedown stuffed
enabling Asakura to counter with a crisp jab.
Asakura keeps the fight on the outside.
Gar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Asakura counters with a two punch combo.
Gar connects with an inside leg kick.
Gar closes the distance and clinches up with Asakura, looking for a takedown. Gar pushes Asakura against the cage but Asakura circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Asakura stuns Gar with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

enabling Gar to counter with a crisp jab.
Asakura throws a jab but it's blocked by Gar.
Kai Asakura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Asakura avoids the head kick by Gar.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gar is defended easily by Asakura.
As Gar looks to move away, Asakura throws a big counter combo but Gar just gets out of the way.
Gar looks winded!

Asakura moves into the clinch successfully.
Gar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Asakura is trying to push Gar away but Gar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Asakura using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gar has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Asakura tries to land a knee to the head but Gar blocks with his arms.
Asakura breaks from the clinch.
Asakura feints a jab and as Gar dips his head, Asakura unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Gar right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Gar falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Asakura smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kai Asakura!
