Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hercules Hoost (ranked 771 p4p, 1837 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 76 p4p, 193 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Howlett's choice of entrance music: Indestructible. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that James Howlett was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hercules Hoost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Howlett! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Howlett. Hoost half committed to a counter leg kick. Howlett misses with a takedown attempt and Hoost counters with a stiff right hand. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Howlett is defended easily by Hoost. Hoost appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Hercules Hoost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Howlett. Howlett misses with a takedown
and Hoost counters with a crisp right hand that drops Howlett! Hoost lets Howlett back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
 Howlett is rocked!
 It looks like James Howlett has been cut. Howlett shoots and misses and Hoost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Howlett is still on wobbly legs! Can Hoost finish him? Hoost looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Howlett tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hoost counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Nice sprawl there from Hoost as Howlett shoots in. Howlett seems to have recovered his senses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Howlett.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Howlett tries for a takedown but Hoost circles away easily and Hoost counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hercules Hoost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Howlett shoots in for a takedown but Hoost shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hoost throws a quick counter kick to the body but Howlett avoids it. Hoost keeps the fight on the outside. Howlett fails with the takedown and Howlett takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. James Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Howlett shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hoost counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Howlett shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoost sprawls well. He's pushed Howlett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Howlett has his takedown stuffed and Hoost counters with a right hand to the body.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Howlett shoots in for a takedown but Hoost shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Howlett moves into the clinch. Hoost lands a shot to the body. Hoost cracks Howlett with a nice body shot. Howlett looks winded! Hoost misses with a punch to the body.
Hoost pushes Howlett back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hoost scores with a shot to the side of Howlett's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoost scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Hoost on the inside. Hoost lands a body shot. Hoost pushes Howlett back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hoost throws a big uppercut that drops Howlett! More strikes from Hoost and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Howlett lies dazed against the cage as Hoost celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hercules Hoost!
