And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Alvarez lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Alvarez lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Magomayev or not.
Alvarez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The referee calls for Alvarez to work.
A head punch on the inside from Magomayev fails to land.
Alvarez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Alvarez tries a body shot but Magomayev blocks it.

Alvarez dips a shoulder and cracks Magomayev with a mighty uppercut! Magomayev falls back against the cage and Alvarez unloads with a barrage of strikes! Magomayev is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Alvarez screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joao Alvarez!
Joao Alvarez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Rauf Magomayev spoke after the fight, saying 'I will come back, and this time i will make a pacient of mine'.
