The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Party avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Party tries for a takedown but Bravo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bravo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Party is trying to defend but Bravo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Party blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bravo.
Bravo is trying to control the action in half guard but Party is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Party wants to control but Bravo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bravo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Party does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Party got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Party has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo's legs - danger averted.

Party is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bravo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bravo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Party is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bravo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Party's back instead.

Party trying to control the action but Bravo just sinks the hooks in.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Party manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Bravo is now in side control.
Bravo throws an elbow but Party slips to the side and avoids it well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bravo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bravo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bravo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Party because Bravo loaded up on that one.

and Party decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bravo's guard.

Party is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bravo is just riding it out for now. Party eventually gives up the hold.

Bravo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bravo has Party pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Party manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Party is pushing down on Bravo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bravo is fighting to maintain full guard but Party has managed to sneak the leg through.
