Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between PhoTang Inamo (ranked 5067 p4p, 4743 weight class) and Jan Hendrik Oosterwijk (ranked 422 p4p, 399 weight class). Jan Hendrik Oosterwijk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inamo throws a head kick that misses
letting Oosterwijk counter with a right hand.
Oosterwijk scores with a decent looking hook.
Inamo misses with a takedown attempt
and Oosterwijk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Inamo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Inamo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Oosterwijk misses with a left hand
and Inamo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Oosterwijk is looking to stand back up but Inamo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Oosterwijk.
Oosterwijk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Inamo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Inamo has been working on his balance at Cozad Amsterdam, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Oosterwijk.

and Oosterwijk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oosterwijk scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oosterwijk is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Oosterwijk throws a right hand that Inamo ducks under and follows up with a left that Inamo also avoids with ease.
Oosterwijk looks to land a left hand but Inamo moved out of range nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oosterwijk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Inamo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Inamo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've been informed that Oosterwijk has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Inamo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oosterwijk for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Oosterwijk has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Oosterwijk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Oosterwijk is pushing Inamo's head away, looking to escape. Inamo manages to hold on to the position though.
Inamo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Oosterwijk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Oosterwijk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Inamo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

PhoTang Inamo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Inamo is working Oosterwijk over with some ground and pound from side control.

Oosterwijk tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Inamo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Inamo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Oosterwijk to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Oosterwijk shrugs it off.

Inamo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Oosterwijk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
