Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lars Elofsson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Elofsson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pereira.
Elofsson just misses with a punch to the body.
Pereira is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Elofsson.
It looks like Alex Pereira has been cut.
Lars Elofsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pereira throws a hook to the side of Elofsson's head but Elofsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Elofsson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Elofsson keeps the fight on the outside.
Elofsson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pereira is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Elofsson throws a series of punches but Pereira avoids them all with ease.
Elofsson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pereiras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Elofsson lands an overhand right.
Pereira throws a body shot but no joy.
Pereira misses with a wild body shot.
Pereira ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Pereira was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Elofsson.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Elofsson is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Pereira like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Pereira from another fist facial!
