Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sami Sakkinen!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakkinen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sakkinen showed some decent athleticism there.
Sakkinen is controlling the pace.
Sakkinen wants to work for an arm triangle but Fumi Daiki is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sakkinen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakkinen is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sakkinen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fumi Daiki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sakkinen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sakkinen wants to pass the guard but Fumi Daiki is keeping the position.

Sakkinen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Fumi Daiki dives in and grabs Sakkinen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sakkinen pushes down on Fumi Daiki's head and hops out.

and Sakkinen counters with a takedown into side control.
Fumi Daiki is rocked!
Sakkinen is working to tighten his grip on Fumi Daiki's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fumi Daiki has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sakkinen is really squeezing tight and eventually Fumi Daiki passes out! Sakkinen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
