Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Bjornsson (ranked 145 p4p, 524 weight class) and Riel Proh (ranked 23 p4p, 68 weight class). Riel Proh told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erik Bjornsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 2, fighting out of London, Riel Proh! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bjornsson throws a series of punches but Proh moves out of range. Bjornsson throws a body punch but Proh moves out of range. Proh feints the counter takedown. Proh misses with a takedown attempt letting Bjornsson counter with a right hand.
 It looks like Riel Proh has been cut. Proh has his takedown stuffed and Bjornsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bjornsson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Proh.

Bjornsson cracks Proh with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bjornsson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Proh to stand back up!
 Proh is rocked! Proh uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bjornsson. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Proh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bjornsson circles away. It looked like Bjornsson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Erik Bjornsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Proh. Bjornsson misses with a double jab
and Proh counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Proh with a flurry of punches that miss. Proh is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Proh trying to control the position from guard on top but Bjornsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.  The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bjornsson misses with a hook. Proh ducked under it nicely. Proh changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Proh postures up in Bjornsson's guard and throws a big left but Bjornsson blocks it. Proh's corner is telling him to maintain position. Proh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Proh scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Proh stays in close to Bjornsson's body and controls the position. Proh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Erik Bjornsson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Riel Proh's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Proh has a takedown stuffed. Proh shoots in for a takedown but Bjornsson shows good takedown defense. Proh slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bjornsson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Proh drops his hands momentarily and Bjornsson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Bjornsson swings widly with a right hand
so Proh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bjornsson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Proh stays in close to Bjornsson's body and controls the position. Proh cracks Bjornsson with a solid left hand.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Proh engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Proh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Proh content to stall in guard here. Bjornsson keeping moving, preventing Proh from controlling successfully.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Proh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bjornsson tries to avoid it but Proh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bjornsson to the ground. Bjornsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Erik Bjornsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Proh.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bjornsson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
 That has opened up Riel Proh's cut even more. Bjornsson throws a shot from downtown. Proh moves away and avoids it. And Proh tries to counter it with a takedown but Bjornsson pushes his down on his head and steps out. Bjornsson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Proh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bjornsson won't be happy with that. Proh trying to control the position but Bjornsson is working away. A lull in the action here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Proh working the ground and pound. Bjornsson seems a little lost for a moment, as Proh dominates the positioning. Proh wants to control but Bjornsson is keeping him busy. Bjornsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Proh on the ground. Proh working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Proh controlling from side mount. Proh working the head with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Proh throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Riel Proh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Proh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
