Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pharoh Dong Jr (ranked 2067 p4p, 4689 weight class) and Rustan Magomedov (ranked 245 p4p, 483 weight class). Rustan Magomedov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pharoh Dong Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rustan Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Magomedov.
Dong Jr went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Magomedov shoots for a double leg takedown but Dong Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Magomedov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dong Jr throws a big counter combination but Magomedov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Magomedov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pharoh Dong Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rustan Magomedov.

Magomedov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Magomedov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Magomedov shoots in looking for a takedown but Dong Jr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Magomedov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rustan Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Dong Jr! Magomedov is out on his feet! Dong Jr rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Magomedov is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Magomedov is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Pharoh Dong Jr decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
