Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barril's guard.
Barril wants to get back to his feet but Silva passes into half guard.
Silva prevents Barril from standing back up.
Silva is keen to just control but Barril is a slippery customer.

Barril is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Silva pulls guard effortlessly.

Thiago Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barril tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barril to the ground. Barril escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barril throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Barril which made him look bad.
Barril does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Barril moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Barril counters with a one-two to the body.
