And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nasir Barakat!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barakat has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gim.

Barakat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Gim was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barakat has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Hilo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Barakat has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gim defend it? Barakat steps over the head and cranks it - Gim is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Barakat!
