Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdul King (ranked 2727 p4p, 4821 weight class) and Islam Makhachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Abdul King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Islam Makhachev!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Makhachev tries to kick King off but King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Makhachev works his way to full guard. Good work.
King is breathing heavily.
Makhachev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.
Makhachev wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makhachev passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makhachev looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Makhachev stands up and beckons King to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makhachev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Makhachev works his way into side control.
Makhachev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on King's face as Makhachev controls the position.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Makhachev on the ground.

Makhachev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.

Makhachev is putting a hurting on King here, landing some big shots from side control.
Makhachev looks up at the clock and then as King takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Makhachev smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Makhachev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King prevents Makhachev from moving into mount.
King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.

King tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Makhachev presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Makhachev is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Makhachev is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Makhachev!
