The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A solid body kick from Miettinen.

and Miettinen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stewart's knee momentarily.
Stewart throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Stewart scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Miettinen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stewart. Stewart circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Miettinen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As Miettinen backs away, Stewart returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Miettinen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stewart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Miettinen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Miettinen scores with a counter punch that sends Stewart to the canvas! Miettinen smells blood - he's punishing Stewart with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Stewart has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
