Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Venkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez has chosen Party up in here - DMX as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Venkman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rufus Lopez! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venkman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lopez fails with the takedown. Venkman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Venkman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lopez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Venkman. Venkman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Venkman is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lopez has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Venkman is looking for a kimura here.
Venkman wants to work for an arm triangle but Lopez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Venkman prevents Lopez from improving his position. Venkman wants to control but Lopez is keeping him busy. Lopez is looking for a sweep. Venkman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Venkman wants to control but Lopez is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lopez misses with a takedown attempt and Venkman counters by moving into the clinch. Lopez prevents the takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Venkman stops a takedown attempt from Lopez.
Peter Venkman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rufus Lopez. Lopez tries to pull guard but Venkman won't allow it.
Lopez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Venkman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Venkman instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Venkman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Venkman gets a trip takedown into half guard. Venkman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lopez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Venkman looking for a submission but Lopez manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Venkman drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Venkman as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lopez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Venkman! Nice submission victory there!
