Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kellen Velasquez (ranked 2725 p4p, 4191 weight class) and Elisha Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kellen Velasquez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kellen Velasquez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elisha Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez misses with a leg kick
and Hopkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Velasquez's guard.
Velasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hopkins stands and steps away. Velasquez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Velasquez shoots and misses
and Hopkins counters with a single leg into guard. Velasquez didn't expect that.
Hopkins works over Velasquez with some ground and pound from guard.
Hopkins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Velasquez, up you get!
Velasquez really is a fat lump.
Velasquez has his takedown stuffed
and Hopkins counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Velasquez fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kellen Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hopkins crunches a lovely knee into Velasquez's ribcage.
Velasquez is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hopkins lands a takedown into guard.
Velasquez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hopkins manages to pass to side control.
Hopkins stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Velasquez to get to his feet.
Hopkins connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Velasquez covering up! Hopkins comes in with a big uppercut and Velasquez goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Elisha Hopkins!
