Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xzavier Carson (ranked 2533 p4p, 4441 weight class) and Domingos Henriques (ranked 270 p4p, 392 weight class). Domingos Henriques has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xzavier Carson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Domingos Henriques! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henriques catches Carson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Carson takes a shot right to the bread basket. Carson walks into a jab. Carson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Henriques connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carson scrambles back to his feet. Carson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Henriques works Carson's body with a nice hook. Henriques lands with an overhand left. Carson takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice uppercut there from Henriques. Henriques scores with a jab. Carson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henriques lands with a good body shot.
Carson gets the takedown into side control. Henriques parries the strikes from Carson easily there. Carson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Henriques to escape.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Henriques seems a little lost for a moment, as Carson dominates the positioning. Henriques is trying to get back to half guard. Henriques felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Carson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Henriques is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Henriques manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Henriques stalling away here and it's allowed Carson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Carson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henriques is one step ahead there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Henriques wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving. Carson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Henriques. Henriques seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Let's hope that Henriques has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Carson is pulling down on Henriques's head to control his posture.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henriques seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Henriques stands up over Carson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Henriques controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Henriques keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carson's head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carson being controlled here, momentarily. Carson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Henriques stays in close to Carson's body and controls the position.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Henriques lands with a shot to the body. Jab from Henriques. Henriques lands a jab to the head.
Carson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Henriques fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carson on the side of the head. Henriques is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Carson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Carson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Henriques getting the better of the striking in that exchange. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Domingos Henriques dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Henriques lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Henriques displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carson. Carson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Henriques with a jab. Domingos Henriques seems to be getting the better of the standup. Henriques lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Henriques has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Carson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henriques swivels and escapes. Carson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Carson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Carson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henriques swivels though and keeps the full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henriques keeping moving, preventing Carson from controlling successfully.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Carson being controlled here momentarily.
Carson stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Henriques has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Carson manages to get his head free but now Henriques has transitioned to an armbar! Carson grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Henriques! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Domingos Henriques! Domingos Henriques decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
