Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kel Ryan (ranked 3494 p4p, 3270 weight class) and Titus Sims (ranked 377 p4p, 348 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Titus Sims!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Ryan.
Ryan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sims uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryan.
Ryan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sims doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Sims throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ryan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Simss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sims scores with a punch to the head.
Ryan just misses with a punch to the body.
Sims throws a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan loads up on a big right hand but Sims slips the punch.
Sims is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Ryan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ryan throws a nice looking combination but Sims bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sims scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sims closes the distance and pushes Ryan back into the cage.
Sims is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ryan has had enough of the clinch but Sims keeps him there for the moment.
Sims makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Sims lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ryan backwards.
Sims lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ryan wants to get back to striking at distance but Sims won't allow it.

Sims throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Ryan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sims lands a nice shot to the body.
Sims lands a hook that snaps the head of Ryan backwards.
Ryan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ryan is rocked!
Sims lands a right hand.
Oh Ryan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sims creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ryan tries to break free but Sims pushes him back against the cage.
Ryan seems to have got his legs back now.
Sims lands a nice shot to the body.
Sims manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

A bit of stalling here from Sims.

The referee is keeping an eye on Sims - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ryan wants to break free but Sims has control.

Sims throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ryans head.
Sims lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ryan backwards.
Sims lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ryan.
Sims effectively controlling the action here.
Sims lands a body shot in the clinch.
Sims drops Ryan onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ryan is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Ryan tries to circle away but Sims has him pinned against the cage.
Sims scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sims dips a shoulder and cracks Ryan with a mighty uppercut! Ryan falls back against the cage and Sims unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ryan is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Sims screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Titus Sims!
