This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 19 losses; Ceasar Rules! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 30 wins and 15 losses; Senger Line! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Line decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Rules (0) vs (2) Line Rules won't allow Line to pass to mount. Rules is looking for a sweep. Line is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Line seems content to control. Line's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Line looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Line is figuring out what he wants to do next.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Rules is trying to control but can't.
Line slows the pace down in half guard. Rules tries to get to full guard but Line has control of the leg. Line sitting and controlling from the half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Line might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rules is looking for a sweep. Line is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nicely done. Rules is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Line is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've been hearing good reports from Rules's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Rules wants to pass the guard but Line is defending well.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Rules seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rules wants to free his trapped foot but Line is holding on for dear life with his legs. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Line has his hands clasped together around Rules's back. He's all about the action. Line is looking to improve his position.
Line controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Line moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Rules stopping the sweep attempt from Line. Rules stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Line swivels though and keeps the full guard. Line wants to sweep here but Rules controlling him for the moment. Line trying to control the position here.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Line looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rules looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Our spies down at at HELLCADEMY inform us that Line has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
 That's ten minutes gone in the round. Line has his hands on Rules's head, controlling the position. Line wants to improve his position but instead Rules has moved into half guard.
Rules tries to pass the half guard into mount. Line knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rules is fighting to break Line's control of his arms but Line is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Line is continuing to stall.
