Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Gauthier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gauthier on the side of the head.
Mazi closes the distance and pushes Gauthier back into the cage.
Mazi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gauthier pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mazi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Mazi is keen to just control but Gauthier is a slippery customer.

Yio Mazi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mazi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gauthier does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Yio Mazi has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mazi is stalling here. Gauthier is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mazi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gauthier has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well Mazi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
