This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 34 wins and 17 losses; Nykolai Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 15 losses; Kent Dew! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dew shoots in but Kersikov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kersikov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kersikov showed some decent athleticism there. Kersikov is looking to advance position but Dew won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Kersikov seems content to control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kersikov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kersikov is trying to control the action in half guard but Dew is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kersikov content to control rather than advance.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dew is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dew wants to control but Kersikov is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kersikov controlling the action here. Dew preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dew has a hand on Kersikov's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kersikov takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!  That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Dew wants to control but Kersikov is having none of it. Dew is looking to improve his position but Kersikov isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dew tries to control the position but Kersikov now has his back.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kersikov managing to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dew wants to pass the guard but Kersikov is keeping the position.
